Accuracy and corrections
Every figure is drawn from public records and carries its source, its unit and its review date. We publish in good faith as fair comment on matters of public interest. We will be wrong sometimes; when we are, the correction is published in place and dated on the Method page, with what changed downstream. Institutions and individuals named in our work have a standing right of reply, published unedited.
Individuals
We report institutions and patterns. Individuals appear only where a public finding names them, and allegations are identified as allegations. Where a person was named in a proceeding but no finding was made against them, we say so explicitly.
Data licence
OnionSkin's own datasets and analysis are released for reuse with attribution to onionskin.ca. Underlying decision texts remain subject to their publishers' terms — CanLII, the tribunals, and the courts — and we link rather than republish where those terms require it.
Liability
The site is provided as is. We are not liable for decisions taken on the basis of it, and we cannot guarantee that any figure remains current after its review date.
